Pressing “e” on GRUB does nothing. Can’t edit “live” boot mode to “quiet”

After highlighting the “Live (amd64)” option, press TAB key to edit boot parameters.

    Hi

When I press Tab while “live (amd64)” is highlighted I do see the command line and I’m adding “quiet” to it next thing I should do is Boot with CTRL-X for F10, at what point I should hit ctrl-x? Because if I add the quiet and hit enter next time I hit TAB it goes back to how it was.

    Hi

Ok I’ve changed the extended features to enable EFI and I can access GRUB but when I add “quiet” and press ctrl-x I got an error

    “booting a command list

    error: invalid magic number.
error: you need to load the kernel first.
