Downloading the book from here and running the bash command md5 Kali-Linux-Revealed-1st-edition.pdf results in the following output:
    MD5 (Kali-Linux-Revealed-1st-edition.pdf) = e053c2d7f2aea38361f38985d77d3dff.

According to the last FAQ question “The books MD5 sum is : 40cd00c451f9037a32352031cbed84e5.”.

Hi friend, the checksum of this pdf is correct, e053c2d7f2aea38361f38985d77d3dff. You can use it without fear, I have already analyzed before reading. Good studies!

If it is indeed legit, we should get that FAQ updated ASAP.

Correct, current revised PDF is no longer 40cd00c451f9037a32352031cbed84e5
and is now “e053c2d7f2aea38361f38985d77d3dff” for kali-linux-revealed-1st-edition.pdf

We updated the PDF and had forgotten to udpate the MD5 sum when we did so. FAQ should now be updated as well. Thanks.
