Raspberry Pi Access Point Exercise 5-5 | Chain 'MASQUERADE' does not exist

    In case anyone comes across the “Chain ‘MASQUERADE’ does not exist” error when executing:

    iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE

    It has to do with the version of iptables. The legacy version of iptables needs to be selected (as a workaround?) You can do so by entering:

    update-alternatives –config iptables

    Then select the selection number for the path ending in “legacy”

    You can then successfully execute the previous command.
