What are the tradeoffs between running Kali in a VM (i.e. VMWare or VirtualBox) versus running in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)? Kali website says “Kali on Windows” has a few drawbacks to running it natively, such as the lack of raw socket support. I am a Windows user and eager to start using Kali’s tools/apps. I prefer to put off learning Linux for later.
