The Kali Linux Certified Professional (KLCP) is a professional certification that testifies to one's knowledge and fluency in using the Kali Linux penetration testing distribution.
KLCP holders demonstrate an in-depth understanding and utilization of the Kali Linux operating system. Individuals with this certification have the skills, knowledge and abilities to put Kali Linux to use as advanced power users, capable of creating highly customized and secure deployments. In addition, the KLCP certification provides foundational knowledge for any information security professional – allowing them to use it as a solid base in their career. Please note: The KLCP certification is an online, proctored exam.
How to Prepare
The body of knowledge that the Kali Linux Certified Professional (KLCP) relies upon can be found in the Kali Linux Revealed book (online and DRM-free eBook download). To prepare yourself for the KLCP you must read, understand, and practice the topics and materials of the book in its entirety. The online version of the book includes additional exercises that drive through these topics hands-on. Make sure you complete these exercises, while understanding exactly what you are doing, down to the individual commands. For extra assurance, familiarize yourself with the documents found in the Kali Documentation site.
The KLCP certification exam is a computer-based 80 question, multiple choice exam. You will have 90 minutes to complete the exam and will receive your score upon completion. The questions are derived from the material covered in the book and body of knowledge described above.
